Independent Employment Preparation Training

The Independent Employment Preparation Training (Job Search) service is a pro-active approach that provides clients with the necessary tools, supporting mechanisms, and confidence to facilitate a successful and timely return to active and productive employment. A primary goal of this service is to provide client-centered assistance in identifying a specific employment objective where the participant could utilize their skills and abilities in a vocation that would be more conducive and aligned with their interests and abilities. Emphasis is also placed on developing a Personal Career Training Plan that seeks to encourage continuous life long learning, in order to better secure and improve upon an individual's employment status and future earnings potential.

Assistance in completing employment applications
Developing your Personal Marketing Tool Kit (resume, cover letter, thank you letter)
Identifying and securing suitable references
Creative networking strategies
Developing one's interview skills and techniques by performing role-play exercises Organizing and structuring an effective job search program Establishing realistic short-term and long-term goals and objectives.
